Public safety is no longer just the job of law enforcement—it’s a community-wide responsibility. That’s why the Oklahoma City Police Department has launched Connect Oklahoma City, a powerful new program that gives residents and business owners a way to actively support police efforts and strengthen neighborhood security.

What Is Connect Oklahoma City?

Connect Oklahoma City is a voluntary camera registration and integration program developed in partnership with public safety technology company Axon. Its mission is simple: to streamline the way OKCPD accesses security footage after crimes or emergencies—while protecting privacy and building trust.

There are two ways to participate:

🔹 Register Your Cameras – By signing up and letting police know your security cameras exist, you help them quickly identify potential video evidence during an investigation. No live access is given, and you maintain full control over your footage.

🔹 Integrate with CORE – For those who want to go a step further, the program offers a plug-and-play CORE device that allows secure, real-time sharing of live or recorded video with OKCPD during active incidents. It’s fast, encrypted, and always under your control.

Why It Matters

In the aftermath of a crime, every second counts. Registered cameras can help investigators pinpoint locations with useful footage, drastically reducing the time it takes to gather evidence. And when lives are on the line, CORE-connected devices can give first responders critical insight—helping them act smarter and safer.

Your Privacy, Your Choice

Participation in ConnectOKC is completely optional. You choose how much to share and when. There’s no monitoring, no surveillance—just collaboration between neighbors and police, built on respect and mutual interest in a safer community.

Be a Part of the Solution

Whether you’re a homeowner with a doorbell camera or a business owner with a full surveillance system, your involvement can make a difference. Signing up takes less than a minute—but the impact could last a lifetime.
