A unit within the Oklahoma City Police Department is expanding to provide more support to officers on the streets. A building close to downtown police headquarters and the training center is under renovation to fit the department’s needs. The Oklahoma City Police Foundation (OKCPF) announced Sunday that it has received a $1 million grant from the Arnall Family Foundation. The funds will support renovations to a 12,500-square-foot facility that will house the Cornerstone Wellness Center.

Renovations are currently underway at the Cornerstone Wellness Facility. Demolition commenced in April of this year, and framing has commenced, with drywall installation scheduled to begin in the following week. Cornerstone Wellness Facility anticipates being operational in August of this year.
