Blue Knight Gala Winners Enjoy Exclusive K9 Experience with OKCPD

As part of their winning package at the 2025 Blue Knight Gala, a group of guests recently received a truly unforgettable experience—an exclusive behind-the-scenes visit with the Oklahoma City Police Department’s K9 and Wellness Dog Units.

Hosted by the Oklahoma City Police Department Foundation, the private tour gave these supporters an up-close look at the vital work done by both patrol and wellness dogs within the department. From classroom briefings to hands-on demonstrations and meet-and-greets with the canine officers, the visit offered a meaningful look at the trust, discipline, and heart that define OKCPD’s K9 teams.

These ladies were introduced to both working dogs and therapy dogs, learning about their training and roles while bonding over belly rubs and tail wags. The afternoon was filled with laughter, learning, and appreciation for the incredible bond between officers and their K9 partners.
